Jewellery care

All jewellery will enjoy a clean every now and again. You can soak the piece in warm soapy water and if there is stubborn dirt use an old soft toothbrush to gently brush it away. Follow with a rinse then air dry on some tissue.
Gently buff your piece back to a shine with a silver cloth. Cloths are available to buy in my shop.

Gold plated silver: Gently rub jewellery with a soft polishing cloth. I use a high quality, thick 24 carat plating on all of my pieces. Take care not to scrub or over-polish as this may prematurely wear away the gold plated layer.

Brass: Wipe on some Brasso and leave for a few minutes, then wipe clean. Alternatively, you can soak in a hot salty vinegar solution and scrub with a brush. Or leave some tomato ketchup on it for an hour and buff away!

Advice, repair and replating service

Store your pieces in a pouch inside a box to prevent items rubbing together. Keep your jewellery away from perfumes, hairspray and lotions. Chemicals can discolour and damage your jewellery, especially chlorine. Never wear your jewellery in the shower or when swimming.

Every piece is handcrafted with care in my Bristol studio. The longevity of the jewellery pieces that I create is important to me. Sometimes, even with good care, general wear and tear can leave pieces needing a little love.
I offer a professional cleaning, repair and re-plating service on all of my jewellery for a small fee.
